This is Spencer West. Spence has been a close friend of mine for over a decade. He’s one of the funniest, stylish, humble, and deeply compassionate people I’ve ever met. And, he’s handsome AF.

I helped Spence work on his autobiography many years ago, the bestseller, Standing Tall: My Journey. Every step of the process of learning about, and becoming friends with, Spence, made me admire him more. The dude climbed Mount Kilimanjaro on his hands, say no more! But, more than this, Spencer is a guiding light. He has inspired countless youth with his story all around the world. And has now amassed more than 3.7 million TikTok followers after going viral more than once. He’s now a teacher with @tiktok’s Creatorclass. Unreal.

Here are some shots Spence and I took in the studio recently. This is something I’ve wanted to do with @spencer2thewest for a while now, and when he reached out, I was deeply honoured.

I first met Sydney years ago at WayHome Music Festival. I was a staff photographer for the festival, and right at dusk, I was doing a bunch of portraits of festival-goers. All of a sudden I saw Sydney standing in front of a forested area with pixie lights sparkling in the background. I approached, got the shot, and eventually shared it, along with others, on social media. Turns out Sydney saw it and followed me over five years ago. Fast forward to early October when I receive an email from Sydney planning to have her wedding within seven weeks at the Toronto Golf Club. Was so excited to be able to make it happen with a whole host of brilliant vendors (info below) in late 2021. Congratulations again, Sydney + Blake!
